Laura Devenney
Senior ESG Analyst
Laura is a Senior ESG Analyst responsible for evaluating current and potential portfolio investments and engaging companies to advance sustainable business practices. She contributes to Boston Trust Walden’s leadership in shareholder engagement, specifically on climate change, through effective company dialogues, shareholder resolutions, and public policy advocacy. Laura is a member of the firm’s ESG Research & Engagement Committee.
Laura serves on the Interfaith Center on Corporate Responsibility’s (ICCR) Climate Lobbying and Climate Finance Leadership Groups.
Laura began her career in 2005 and joined Boston Trust Walden in 2019. Previously, she worked at Ceres as a Manager on the carbon asset risk team facilitating key projects, mobilizing investor action, and conducting research to advance corporate action on climate change and the energy transition. Before joining Ceres, Laura managed global study programs at the University of Delaware and managed marketing and event operations at the McDonalds LPGA Championship.
Laura earned a BS in Health Behavior Management and an MBA from the University of Delaware. She is trained on the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) disclosure reporting standards. She holds the Fundamentals of Sustainability Accounting (FSA) Credential and a Sustainability and Climate Risk (SCR) Certificate from the Global Association of Risk Professionals.
