Douglass Guernsey

Douglass is an ESG Analyst responsible for evaluating current and potential portfolio investments and engaging companies to advance sustainable business practices. In his role, Douglass analyzes corporate sustainability policies, practices, and performance across a broad array of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) factors. He also supports engagement efforts with companies across a range of sustainability issues. Douglass is a member of the Boston Trust Walden Research and Engagement Committee.

Douglass began his career in 2012 and joined Boston Trust Walden in 2024. Previously, he worked at Green Century Capital Management as a shareholder advocate. In his role, Douglass conducted corporate ESG research and analysis, led engagement with companies across multiple industries to advance ESG policies, practices, and performance disclosure, engaged in the filing of a multitude of shareholder resolutions, and collaborated with investors and key stakeholders on various initiatives. Douglass holds a BA from Guilford College and an MBA in Social Impact and Entrepreneurship from Brandeis University.
